Keiji Ashizawa in Conversation

Tokyo-based architect and designer Keiji Ashizawa established his studio in 2005. Since then, his firm has become known for working on notable projects across Japan and internationally, and for forging partnerships abroad with European and Asian designers and manufacturers. He is also the driving force behind Ishinomaki Laboratory, a community furniture project developed after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Ashizawa will discuss working across borders and cultures, developing and working with communities and strategic partnerships, and his ongoing work with collaborators such as Norm Architects and Karimoku Furniture.
