Jia Curated Kiosks, an initiative by Jia, is a long immersive weekend of design, craft, and culture, aiming to creatively connect communities.

The third edition is scheduled to return in 2024, with  the theme In Process.

What defines In Process? It's a series of actions or steps taken to achieve a particular end. The processes of making, thought, and design all share a common objective: to facilitate transition, representing a reaction to a preceding actions. The diversity of individual reactions within these processes, influenced by education, backgrounds, and cultures, adds a thrilling dimension to the creation journey. This diversity serves as a catalyst for variety and innovation, shaping the dynamic landscape of design and craft.

In Process not only celebrates individual and collective creative processes but also embraces the values of Gotong Royong, which are an integral part of Indonesian culture. This concept represents a concept of solidarity, communal cooperation and mutual assistance within society.

Utilising Gotong Royong as a crucial element, In Process becomes a reflective mirror, showcasing the extension of the creative process beyond individual efforts. It pays homage to Indonesia's cultural heritage, transforming into a platform that not only exhibits design and craftsmanship but also strengthens social bonds, emphasises collaboration, and celebrates the collective strength arising from the creative journey.
